It’s All About the Music!

Hello from Lou and Andi in Goshen, New Hampshire!

We never thought summer would get here and, now that it has arrived, here is how to make the most of it.

Mad Beach Band
The Mad Beach Band

We recently heard from Pete Merrigan. He told us about his Mad Beach Band reunion concert on August 1st at the Newport Opera House. The Mad Beach Band is St. Petersburg, Florida's most popular band. They have not played in this area since 1988, and their reunion will be the hottest show of the summer! Andi says she had some of the best times of her life at the Mad Beach Band shows, and we can’t give a better endorsement than that!

Tickets are $20 general admission and are available at Harrington's Jewelers in Newport, Arctic Dreams Ice Cream in New London, or by phone at 603-863-6938.

Free Music!
As a special gift for the subscribers to our mailing list, we now have four great songs by local singer/guitarist Andrew Merzi that you can download and play on your computer or iPod. Click here to sign up for our mailing list.

iTunes
If you don’t have any software on your computer to play music, I highly recommend the free iTunes software. In addition to playing MP3 music files, iTunes also gives you access to lots of free content including hundreds of Internet radio channels of music and comedy, plus a huge variety of informational podcasts. Download iTunes.

Free Summer Concerts
We have posted a list of all the free summer bandstand concerts in Sunapee, Elkins, Newbury, New London, Newport and Wilmot on our Lake Sunapee Entertainment page.

Sunapee Recreation
Thanks to Scott Blewitt of the Sunapee Recreation Department, you can now download the Sunapee Recreation Department Newsletter from our site. The newsletter lists all of the fun activities in Sunapee for the summer. This edition features a Steve Tyler trivia contest to win tickets to the Aerosmith tribute band Draw The Line.

New Pages on the Site:
The Newport Farmers’ Market page lists all the vendors, musicians and activities of the area’s largest farmers’ market.

A new artist gallery page features the charming cut paper art of Rosemary McGuirk.

Have a great summer!

Lou & Andi
