Newsletter January 08

Hello from Lou and Andi in Goshen, New Hampshire!

2008 is the year that changes from a part-time fun hobby to a serious business for Wild Goose Web Design. In 2007 we just plunked along with the web site, adding information when we could. For 2008 it's full steam ahead!. We plan to build the site into a comprehensive resource for both tourists and residents. We want to include everything about the Lake Sunapee region that is cool, fun, unique and interesting, and we are asking for your contributions.

What's new on the site

We have just added two new features to the site. An RSS feed and Content 2.0.

The RSS feed will keep you informed of the latest updates to the site. Whenever the site is updated you will get an active bookmark with a link to the update automatically right in your browser. Just paste the following URL into your web browser or newsreader:

Content 2.0 allows visitors to contribute their own stories, information and even pictures to the site. If you have a story about a favorite place to shop, a restaurant or hotel review you can tell us about it and it will become a permanent page on the site, with full credit for the author of course! Click here to visit the Sunapee Travel Stories page to read how you can contribute to and help us tell the world about the wonderful Lake Sunapee Region.

Do you golf? is looking for a golf writer to contribute to our forthcoming Sunapee Golf page. I don't golf so if you or someone you know loves to golf all of the courses in the area, and also has a sense of humor, we are looking for someone to write a page about golfing in the region. There would be a modest payment to the author, so if you know someone who would be interested please email Lou at

There are several wonderful new businesses in the area.

Digby's Steakhouse - Murphy's tavern has been reborn as a steakhouse with an excellent new menu and an interior makeover featuring wonderful antique pictures of Lake Sunapee. 1407 Route 103, Newbury - 603 763-3113

Eastern Dinnerware - This shop owned by Vanessa and Jessica Desilets features new, good-as-new, and antique dinnerware and housewares. Hours: M-Sat 10am to 6pm. 54 Pleasant St. Claremont, inside the Goddard Emporium. 603-542-0900.

Sunapee Landing Trading Company - A huge new shop featuring room after room of antique furniture from the 1800s and 1900s. The furniture is really beautiful and very reasonably priced. 356 Rt. 103, Sunapee – 603-863-2275

Thank you for subscribing to the newsletter. If you have any feedback about the web site, or if you have any questions about computers or the internet I would love to hear from you.

Have a great season. Spring is almost here!

Lou & Andi
