I paint what I love about New England: its people and places as they really are. My work is traditional with a hint of nostalgia for life in simpler but physically demanding times.

As a classically trained landscape artist, I endeavor to learn from and emulate in even a small way the White Mountain and Hudson River Painters of the 18th and 19th centuries.

My husband and I enjoy trekking to where they painted: waterfalls and mountains, lakes and seacoasts. Occasionally I am blessed to paint exactly where they stood.

You can also join me in one of my classes with the Currier Museum where I teach painting and calligraphy.
