Fly Fishing on the Common
The event will be held at the Common on Main Street in New London, NH, starting at 10:00 AM. This event is free to the public. We will show all the basics of this fun sport, including hands-on casting instruction! If you don't have a rod, we can provide it for you. Memorial Day - May 25th
WILMOT COMMUNITY ASSN. BLACK FLY BLITZ!
The race starting at the Wilmot Town Green and continuing through scenic Wilmot to benefit the Wilmot Community Association and the Kearsarge Regional High School Track & Cross-country teams. Children 8 and under are free, ages 9-17 are $15, and those over 18 are $20. If registering on the morning of the race, it’s $5 more. There will be music on the bandstand, face painting, t-shirts, refreshments, and more. www.wilmotcommunityassociation.org

Fly Fishing and Fly Casting Class
FFF Certified Fly Casting instructor Steve Rowe teaches a class at Village Sports in New London for beginners to advanced fly fishers. All equipment is provided; advanced registration is required and costs $45 per person.

4th Annual Mountain Mucker Obstacle Race
A 5K obstacle race (plus extra “challenge loops”) on Mount Sunapee for ages 12 and up. There’s all day family fun with live music, activities, refreshments, and other entertainment. For children 5-11 there are Mini-Mucker and Micro-Mucker courses.

Lake Sunapee Protective Association (LSPA) Summer Series - Landscaping at the Water's Edge
LSPA Learning Center, Sunapee Harbor
LSPA, The Fells and Sullivan County Master Gardeners present this look at landscaping on the shoreline, including information on storm water management, the impacts of erosion and run off, and the effects of chemicals on our lakes and streams. Includes information on using native plants in the landscape. Presenters are LSPA’s Robert Wood, UNH’s landscape specialist Professor Catherine Neal, and Master Gardener Marilyn Hill of Newbury.
